Email contact@birme.net and a person will read it, or use the contact form. Telling us the iPhone model, the iOS version and the kind of document helps.
Questions people ask
It says Apple Intelligence is unavailable.
ReadME reads documents with Apple Intelligence, which needs a supported iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Turn it on in Settings, Apple Intelligence & Siri, and give it time to finish downloading. You can still read a document's full text without it.
How do I open a document?
From Mail, WhatsApp or Files, tap Share on a PDF and choose ReadME. Or open ReadME and tap Open PDF, or Choose Screenshots to pick up to ten images.
It says the document is too long.
ReadME is made for letters and notices of up to about ten pages, which is what Apple Intelligence can read at once on an iPhone. Long reports and papers are beyond it.
It says no text was found.
The PDF is a picture of a page, not text. Tap Recognise Text and ReadME reads the words off the image.
The document is password protected.
Enter the password and tap Unlock. It is used only to open the file on your iPhone.
A date looks wrong.
Always check dates against the document before you rely on them. ReadME flags a date when the weekday in the text does not match the calendar, and the quoted snippet under each date shows where it came from.
Why is there an ad?
The ad keeps the app free. It sits in its own strip at the bottom of the screen, so it never covers the text you are reading, and nothing from your document is sent to Google.
Does it work offline?
Reading documents does. Only the ad needs a connection.
Which languages does it speak?
English, for now.
What does it need to run?
An iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence turned on.
